ABOUT US
BobSpeed is a competitive robotics team participating in the First Tech Challenge, representing the team number 12080. Members design, build, program, and operate a robot to work through official First Tech Challenge obstacles.
We were originally founded at South Iredell High School in 2017 by a group of high school students. Those students strive to show gracious professionalism, benefit the community with science and math, and have a desire to grow themselves through self-learning. Our team contains many high school students dedicated to a passion of the FIRST Tech Challenge. We are a team consisting of videographers, cad designers, artists, software engineers, programmers and more. Our goal is to improve our personal STEM abilities along with promote STEM throughout our community. BobSpeed is one of the only official FTC teams in the Iredell Statesville Schools district and is celebrated as the first FTC team in the district to reach the state level competition.
BobSpeed engages a young adult audience and parents of those young adults by hosting enrichment camps, offering mentorships, volunteering at other robotics competitive events along with local events, give presentations to school district representatives, and giving team updates on social media.
